Ng’enda secondary school is a co-educational public (government) school. It was started in 1974 as a Harambee school. The school is sponsored by the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (P. C.E.A):-Ng’enda Church. The school is mixed day/boarding. 150 girls are boarders, while the rest of the students are dayschoolars.
The school is suited 11km off the Nairobi-Thika highway along Ruiru-Kaganjo road. It is also 5 km from Gatundu town.
The school is in Central Province, Gatundu South district. Ngenda Division Gathage Location, Gathage Sublocation, Ngenda Village.

The school is founded on strong moral and religion values. The school is sponsored by the P.C.E.A Church who offers pastoral guidance to the students. The school has only two movement groups namely:
-Christian Union-All the Protestants are covered under C. Shikuku and Patron Mrs.R.n
-Catholic Action- ALL the Catholics Patron Mr. R.P Kimani
